Ho Tung Mau - The first Government Inspector General of Vietnam
(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade Ho Tung Mau was a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the first Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate of our country.
Before becoming the first Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate, comrade Ho Tung Mau was appointed by President Ho Chi Minh as the first Political Commissar of War Zone IV.

On December 18, 1949, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 138b-SL establishing the Government Inspectorate and Decree No. 138c-SL appointing comrade Ho Tung Mau as Inspector General, Tran Dang Ninh as Deputy Inspector General, and To Quang Dau as Inspector.

As the head of the industry, Ho Tung Mau led the promotion of activities, carrying out the task of "reviewing the implementation of policies and guidelines of the Government; inspecting members of the Administrative Resistance Committee and officials on the aspect of integrity; inspecting people's complaints", and at the same time organizing and leading many working groups to inspect the actual situation, clarifying the right and wrong of many cases such as: wrongdoings in production credit in Inter-zone III.
According to the petitions and letters of the masses, Ho Tung Mau was the Head of the inspection delegation in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, reporting the results to President Ho Chi Minh; the embezzlement of public funds, corruption, bribery, waste... in the army caused by Colonel Tran Du Chau and Le Sy Cuu and some related figures; the violations at the Road Front...
