Break-ins occur at homes, with thieves stealing property worth 800 million VND.

On August 13th, the Tien Giang Provincial Police announced they are investigating a burglary in My Tho City on the evening of August 12th, where nearly 800 million VND worth of property was stolen.

Accordingly, at around 8:30 PM on August 12th, Mr. Tran Huy Hung (35 years old) and his wife, Ms. Truong Hong Ha My (30 years old), residing at 122A Le Van Pham Street, Ward 5, My Tho City, returned home from work to find their house door closed but some items inside had been disturbed.

Upon inspection, it was found that the family's metal safe had its automatic lock (which had a password) sawed off, and many items in the room had been ransacked.

All the valuables stored in the safe, including US$6,800, Australian dollars (500), over 20 gold bars, a 6mm diamond ring, a ring made in the USA, a small elephant tusk, and necklaces and bracelets, were stolen. The total value of the stolen property reported by the homeowner is nearly 800 million VND.

It is known that My's family runs a large construction materials business in My Tho city.

On the morning of August 13th, the Criminal Investigation Department (PC45) of the Tien Giang Provincial Police, in coordination with other professional units, examined the crime scene and investigated the incident.
