(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of August 12, the Provincial Police Detention Center held a meeting with prisoners' families in 2016.and commend prisoners with outstanding achievements in serving their sentences.

The conference is an opportunity for the Provincial Police Detention Center to exchange and inform about the situation of prisoners serving their sentences; at the same time, listen to and record the opinions and contributions of prisoners' families in order to care for, encourage and support prisoners both materially and spiritually so that they can soon reform and make progress in their studies.

This is also an opportunity for the Detention Center to publicly and transparently disclose regulations on the execution of prison sentences so that families and prisoners have the opportunity to access and better understand the Party's policies and the State's laws.

In the past time, to help people serving sentences understand the legal regulations on the execution of prison sentences and their rights, the detention camp organized 27 legal education and civic education classes for 474 people serving sentences.

Since the beginning of 2015, the prison has considered and proposed reducing the prison term for 159 people serving sentences, of which 60 people have had their prison terms reduced; amnesty and early release for 33 people serving sentences.

In order to create conditions for prisoners to find jobs and integrate into the community, the detention camp has organized vocational training for prisoners. In addition, the camp has organized 5 skill training classes on community reintegration skills for 150 people who are about to finish their prison sentences. Thanks to that, many people have improved their lives, organized labor and produced well, which has been recognized by the government and the people.

At the conference, prisoners and their relatives expressed their opinions, exchanged and shared their thoughts and aspirations while in detention, and at the same time expressed their hope that the detention center would continue to create conditions for prisoners to try to reform well and soon return to the community.

In particular, the conference also listened to the sharing of experiences, as well as the will to strive and develop the family economy of typical advanced models of reintegration into the community.
