Traffic police caught a passenger bus carrying 37 boxes of smuggled goods

(Baonghean.vn) - Checking a passenger bus running on Ho Chi Minh road, Traffic Police Team No. 3, under the Nghe An Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, discovered that the bus was carrying 37 cardboard boxes containing smuggled goods such as cosmetics, clothes, handbags, etc.


On August 25, information from Traffic Police Team No. 3, under the Nghe An Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, said that the unit had handed over a large quantity of goods without documents or origin to Thanh Chuong District Police for handling according to the law.

The goods without invoices or certificates of origin were seized by the Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Nghe An Road and Railway Traffic Police Department.


Previously, at Km 754 of Ho Chi Minh road, in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An, the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 3, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department inspected a passenger car with license plate 31F-5257 driven by driver Vu Ngoc Tuan (born in 1972, residing in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province) running from South to North with suspicious signs.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, 37 cardboard boxes containing 337 auto parts, 151 various types of auto air filters, 55 auto lights, 19 amplifier speakers, 800 bottles of hair conditioner, nearly 300 pairs of shoes, handbags, etc. were discovered. The total value of the shipment was over 100 million VND.

Initially, driver Tuan admitted to transporting the above goods from Laos to Vietnam for sale. The entire shipment had no invoices or documents of origin, so the Traffic Police Team No. 3 temporarily detained the vehicle and handed it over to Thanh Chuong District Police for handling.
