On April 23, 2014, Paola was still this healthy and beautiful young woman.

Just an ordinary girl, of course Paola couldn't avoid the despair of losing a part of her body. She didn't dare open her eyes to look at her wound, only imagining it in her head, vaguely wondering what her life would become of her.

However, she was a strong woman. Once her wounds healed, Paola began to practice walking again on her crutches. Life wasn't easy, so she had to learn to adapt.

But tragedy didn't spare the 20-year-old girl easily. Doctors informed her that, to avoid complications later, Paola would have to have her entire leg amputated from the thigh down. And Paola agreed without hesitation. She accepted wearing a prosthetic leg from now on, and she didn't consider it shameful or strange at all.
