(Baonghean.vn)- Hop Tien Party Cell in the coastal area of ​​Quynh Lap (Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An) has only 15 party members but is always at the forefront of local movements, strongly transforming the poor neighborhood.

Hop Tien village has 173 households with more than 845 people, the main economic activities are seafood exploitation and fishing logistics services. Hop Tien village Party cell has 15 party members, most of whom participate in production labor at sea, so the implementation of tasks, inspection and monitoring of party members face many difficulties.

However, with determination, unity, consensus and creativity, the party members in Hop Tien Party cell have had many initiatives and innovations to promote collective strength, gradually changing the poor neighborhood.

Every month, the Party cell's activities are held on moonlit days when people are off at sea, so the effectiveness of the activities is improved. Over the years, the Party cell has issued resolutions to encourage people to actively build new boats with large horsepower to ensure offshore fishing, increase income, stabilize life and enrich legitimately.

Currently, the village has 23 offshore fishing vessels with a capacity of 135 CV or more, including 12 newly built vessels with a capacity of 440-1000 CV worth 60 billion VND, fully equipped with modern machinery, each team is connected by walkie-talkies, fishing with 4 poles and purse seine nets. On average, each year, the village's seafood output reaches over 3000 tons. The average income per person of fishing workers reaches 60 million/year.

Industry, handicrafts and services are considered the spearheads of the strong economic development of the village to serve the promotion of fishing and seafood exploitation. The Party cell has encouraged people to expand their occupations such as ship repair and building workshops; fish meal mills; anchovy drying and steaming facilities, mechanics, ice, petrol, etc.The fishing logistics service industry has attracted and created jobs for hundreds of workers in the village and neighboring areas. The annual economic growth rate reached over 14%, the average income per capita reached 25 million/year. The rate of poor households decreased rapidly, only 4.6%, the rich households accounted for 75%.

The strength of Hop Tien village is exploiting aquatic products and developing fishing logistics services.

The mass mobilization work was actively promoted by the Party Committee and the Village Mass Mobilization Committee, which regularly paid attention to and listened to the people's opinions, and encouraged the people to actively participate in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life associated with building new rural areas". The people of Hop Tien village contributed over 500 million VND and more than 100 working days to pour concrete on more than 1.5 km of roads, achieving the target of 100% of the village's roads being solidly concreted.

All roads in the village are lit. The cultural house is renovated, garbage collection and treatment is done regularly, dozens of trees are planted along the road to create a clean and beautiful landscape. The rate of cultural families is over 80%, the village remains a cultural unit.

In addition, with the characteristics of a coastal village, the phenomenon of children leaving school early to go to sea often occurred in the past. Therefore, the Party Committee has coordinated with organizations to promote propaganda, mobilization, and care for education. Thanks to that, 100% of children of school age are able to go to school and the phenomenon of leaving school early is no longer. The movement to encourage learning and talent is actively responded to by the people, creating an atmosphere of competition between families and clans. Many children have passed the entrance exams to universities and colleges.
