Brick factory boiler explodes, 2 workers die

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 24, Mr. Le Xuan Dat - Director of Trung Do Granite Factory (located on Dang Thai Mai Street - Bac Vinh Industrial Park, Nghe An) confirmed the above information and said that 2 workers died after the explosion.

Accordingly, at around 1:45 a.m. on August 23, while workers were working, one of the four boilers (coal gasification) of the factory suddenly exploded.

The explosion caused two workers, Mr. Le Van Linh (born in 1980, residing in Nghi Hoa ward, Cua Lo town) and Mr. Nguyen Van Tung (born in 1987, residing in Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An) to suffer severe burns.

Immediately afterwards, both victims were taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred to the Central Burn Hospital for treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, both died that afternoon (August 23).

“After the incident, we reported it to the authorities to handle and investigate the cause of the explosion. The company's leaders directly visited, encouraged and supported the funeral of the two victims' families,” Mr. Dat added.
