On the morning of September 18, police excavated and discovered tMs. Dao's body was buried in a hole one meter deep, about 50 cm wide, about 3 meters from the house foundation. The body had decomposed, was wrapped in a nylon bag, and sealed tightly with adhesive tape.The victim's neck had many cuts and bruises on the head suspected to have been caused by a hard object.

In addition, about 150 meters from the house, investigators also discovered a hammer and a knife suspected to be evidence that the husband used to murder his wife.

Relatives said that Mr. Thien and his wife got married in 2013 and now have a 2-year-old daughter. Two weeks ago, Mr. Thien brought his daughter to his parents' house to be taken care of, saying that his wife had run away and was not sure where.
