Quynh Luu: 23,075 people participate in family health insurance

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 30, Quynh Luu District Social Insurance held a conference to review the collection of voluntary social insurance and health insurance premiums in the first 6 months of 2016.

Quynh Luu District Social Insurance currently has 88 agents collecting social insurance and health insurance for households. Of these, there are 54 collection agents in communes and towns, and 34 collection agents at commune post offices.

In the first 6 months of 2016, thanks to the effective coordination of district-level departments and branches, the network of insurance collection agents at the grassroots level and the spirit of effort and overcoming difficulties of the collective of civil servants of the District Social Insurance, the tasks were well performed, contributing to ensuring social security in the district.

Thanks to regular dissemination campaigns on social insurance and health insurance policies to the people, more and more people are attracted to participate. As of June 30, 2016, the number of voluntary social insurance participants in the whole district was 2,460, family health insurance reached 23,075, an increase of 9,509, and near-poor health insurance reached 7,135, an increase of 52 compared to 2015.

To achieve high results in the last 6 months of the year, the District Social Insurance assigned targets and divided areas for insurance collection agents to strive to increase the rate of people participating in insurance; surveyed the population situation to identify potential subjects participating in insurance; coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and towns to direct agents in the area to organize propaganda to the people and check the performance of the agents' tasks.
