The advantages of low price, low registration fees, and installment payment options make minivans attractive to Vietnamese customers.

Over the past two years, the Vietnamese market has been booming thanks to imported vans from South Korea, primarily the Chevrolet Spark Van and Kia Morning Van. Although in the same segment, the Spark Van is less attractive than its competitor, the Morning Van, because Vietnamese consumers prefer the Kia brand.

This imported minivan from South Korea belongs to the 4th generation of the Spark line, launched at the Seoul Motor Show 2015 (South Korea) in April. Compared to its predecessor, the 2016 Spark Van has undergone a complete transformation in both design and features. The front of the car features Chevrolet's signature look, with aggressive fog lamp housings and angular sides with embossed lines. The rear stands out with taillights that wrap around both corners and a sleek rear spoiler.

The 2016 Spark Van uses plastic interior components, offers adequate space, fabric seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, a simple instrument panel design, and manually adjustable rearview mirrors. The entertainment system is minimalist with a radio and manual air conditioning. As a minivan, the manufacturer focuses on the rear cargo area, which has a capacity of 300 liters, separated by a metal frame.

To enhance competitiveness and driving feel, the 2016 Chevrolet Spark Van is equipped with an electric power steering City mode, making steering lighter and smoother when driving in the city. The vehicle uses a 1-liter, 3-cylinder Ecotec engine producing 75 horsepower and 95 Nm of maximum torque. It features a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The 2016 Spark Van is equipped with safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS) with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, traction control system (TCS), and a driver's airbag.

Compared to the Morning Van, the 2016 Spark Van is priced at 320 million VND, 20 million VND cheaper. The advantage of this minivan model is that the registration fee is only 2%, so customers only need to spend an additional 15 million VND to own a car. Furthermore, installment payments of up to 80% of the car's value are available.
