(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 3, Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department has promptly deployed many preventive measures to avoid possible damage.

In addition to assigning staff to monitor the storm's direction to promptly come up with response plans, the Fisheries Department assigned staff to guard the long-range communication station 24/7, send out emergency signals, update the storm's direction and assist people in guiding ships at sea to safe storm shelters every hour.

Nghe An Fisheries Department specialists use radio to inform fishermen of the storm's direction.

In addition, the Department has mobilized two fisheries surveillance vessels to stand guard at two deep-water inlets, Hoang Mai and Cua Lo, to be ready to mobilize for search and rescue operations when an incident occurs. In addition, the crew members and officers of the fisheries surveillance vessels have coordinated with the border guards to actively propagate and call on fishermen to bring their boats to anchor to avoid storms.

Mr. Chu Quoc Nam - Deputy Head of Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department said: "Currently, the whole province has 3,947 ships, of which 1,313 ships with a capacity of over 90 CV operating offshore fishing have returned to safe anchorage to avoid the storm, of which 02 ships are anchored in Van Don (Quang Ninh), 01 ship is anchored in Cua Viet (Quang Tri) and 28 ships are anchored in Cua Sot (Ha Tinh)".

One advantage is that at this time, people are resting and eating the full moon, so boats are mainly on shore. Only a few small boats operating on the offshore route during the day are still operating, so the risk when a storm hits is minimized.
