13kg of ancient coins discovered in Nghi Kieu commune - Nghi Loc

(Baonghean) - Recently, Mr. Nguyen Van Thai and his wife, Ms. Cuc (in hamlet 15A, Nghi Kieu commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An) discovered a ceramic jar full of ancient coins while gardening.

The jar was located 25 cm deep next to the house's side wall. When they dug it up, the jar was still intact. There was a bowl on top. When they dug it up, a small piece broke off. Inside was almost full of ancient copper coins. The coins were still almost intact, with writing on the front. The total weight of the coins was 13 kg.

It is known that many customers have come to buy that amount of ancient copper coins, but the couple is still keeping them.
