Vieng Khu fishing village
(Baonghean) - About 200m from Khe Thoi bridge, is home to 12 out of 17 households, fishing village of Vieng Khu, Lang Khe commune, Con Cuong district.
Mr. Vo Van Thanh (57 years old), a resident of the hamlet, said that this is their new place to live, before the fishing hamlet at the foot of Chom Lom bridge, due to floods and storms, the commune government suggested moving up here. With the attention of the Party and the State, some households in difficult circumstances were given pigs to increase production. Today, the people of the fishing hamlet not only know how to fish, but have also made many economic innovations, such as raising livestock and poultry.
Standing on Chom Lom bridge looking down, the cages of the fishing village households stretched out, close together like a giant python leaning against the river bank. The small, narrow road next to the foot of the bridge connecting to the fishing village is where traders come every day to buy fish to sell elsewhere. We went down to the fishing village, entered the cage of the village chief Vo Van Vinh. The people of the fishing village mainly go fishing at night. They leave around 4 or 5 pm every day and return at midnight, many days, only in the morning.
