VNPT Nghe An achieved revenue of nearly 900 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 8th, Nghe An Telecommunications held a conference to implement its 2016 plan.
Attending the Conference on Vietnam Telecommunications Group were: Mr. Pham Duc Long, Member of the Board of Directors - General Director of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group; and other leaders of VNPT Group. Representing the province were Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

The report on the results of production and business activities in 2015 shows that, despite many difficulties and fierce market competition, VNPT Nghe An has strived to excellently complete its tasks.
Revenue reached over VND 888.4 billion, achieving 100.64% of the plan, an increase of 8.1% compared to the same period; labor productivity reached VND 940 million/person/year, an increase of 10% compared to 2014; average per capita income reached VND 11.7 million/person/month, an increase of 25% compared to 2014; tax contributions to the state budget amounted to VND 44 billion, an increase of 5% compared to 2014. Currently, VNPT is the telecommunications service provider with the widest 3G coverage.

In 2016, the first year that Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) officially implemented its restructuring plan in a comprehensive manner, VNPT determined to continue building on its achievements, overcome difficulties, and reaffirm its position as a leading telecommunications and IT enterprise in Nghe An province.

In their remarks at the conference, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Mr. Pham Duc Long, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, acknowledged the efforts of VNPT Nghe An and expressed their hope that the unit would continue to develop and contribute to the building of e-government and telecommunications infrastructure, actively supporting the socio-economic development of the province and making positive contributions to the Group.

On this occasion, VNPT Nghe An was honored to receive the Third-Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam; the flag for leading the emulation movement from the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Information and Communications; and certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding collectives.
