Nghia Dan Youth Union members help people build roads

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 12, Nghia Dan District Youth Union organized the launching ceremony of the 2016 summer youth volunteer campaign in Khe Lau hamlet, Nghia Lam commune.

With the motto "each youth union member has a volunteer job", each union base has a practical project; youth union members join hands to build new rural areas, this year Nghia Dan district union launched a summer youth volunteer campaign from the beginning of June to the end of August.

To make the program effective and practical, the Standing Committee of Nghia Dan District Youth Union directed the Youth Union bases to register and select practical jobs based on the specific situation of the locality, such as building civil works, rural roads, helping families in difficult circumstances, organizing rice harvesting to help families with preferential policies, organizing summer activities, teaching children; propagating and placing warning signs against drowning, etc.

In the morning in Nghia Lam and Nghia An communes, youth union members built 350m of intra-field roads and poured concrete in the hamlet.

At this launching ceremony, Nghia Dan District Youth Union presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged students of 3 communes: Nghia Lam, Nghia Minh, Nghia Son. After the launching ceremony, 250 youth union members and people of Khe Lau hamlet leveled 200m of the internal road of Khe Lau hamlet, Nghia Lam commune.

On the same day, in Nghia An commune, more than 100 youth union members also participated in pouring more than 100m of rural concrete road.
