Through inspection of 12 units under the Provincial People's Committee (6 departments and 6 districts and towns), the inspection team concluded: the province's work of receiving people and handling complaints has become systematic and the quality has been improved.
Regarding inspection work, the provincial inspection agencies and departments have carried out tens of thousands of inspections of all kinds, discovering 5,480 organizations and individuals with violations totaling more than 224 billion VND. However, many limitations have been pointed out, such as the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has not directly received many citizens, mainly delegating authority to the Vice Chairman, not regularly urging and inspecting the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations... Directors of some departments such as Traffic - Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development, Culture, Sports and Tourism "have not received citizens periodically according to regulations", the issuance of regulations on receiving citizens is still slow compared to regulations, in which the Department of Traffic - Transport, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development do not have separate reception rooms...
Some district chairmen have regular and ad hoc meetings with citizens, but “the staff in charge of citizen reception have not fully recorded in the citizen reception book” is also a limitation of citizen reception work here. In addition, transparency in anti-corruption work has not been thoroughly implemented, such as the appointment and reappointment of civil servants and leaders and managers who do not meet the prescribed standards (Ea Hleo district), the signing of contracts for civil servants and officials in agencies and units is not in accordance with the procedures (Buon Ma Thuot city, M'Drak district, etc.).
From this conclusion, the Government Inspectorate recommends that the Prime Minister assign the Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to direct and strictly implement the reception of citizens in accordance with regulations, strengthen the inspection of the responsibility of leaders in implementing the law on inspection, reception of citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, direct the inspection, review and settlement of complicated and prolonged pending complaints in the area, especially coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to consider and resolve the complaints of over 300 households related to coffee companies in the area./.
