A drowning accident occurred at the Noi Tranh dam in Ha Tinh province, resulting in the deaths of three students.

In the early afternoon of August 26th, a drowning accident occurred at the Noi Tranh dam (also known as Ho Tra dam) in Ha Tinh province, resulting in the deaths of three students.

At that time, four students went up Ho Tra mountain to pick wild berries, then three of them went down to the dam to swim but were swept into the deep water, resulting in all the victims dying from drowning.

The students have been identified as: Nguyen Thi Song Thao (born in 2005), Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai (born in 2004), both residing in Tay Son village, and Pham Anh Tuyet (born in 2003).

Pham Van Duy (born in 2005) did not go swimming, and upon witnessing the incident, he quickly ran home shouting for help, but it was too late.

After more than 40 minutes, authorities finally recovered the bodies of the victims. The incident is currently under further investigation.
