Murdered lover because of blind jealousy

After stabbing his lover multiple times in the chest, Dung tried to get a car to escape but was arrested by detectives.

On August 30, the Criminal Police Department of Tra Vinh Province temporarily detained Nguyen Van Dung (39 years old, residing in Tien Giang Province, currently residing in Dau Giong Hamlet, Phuong Thanh Commune, Cang Long District, Tra Vinh Province) to investigate the act of murder.

The victim was Ms. Kim Thi Phuong (local resident), who was living with Dung as husband and wife.

Through initial investigation, during her time working as a hired worker in Tien Giang province, Ms. Phuong met and developed feelings for Dung.

After dating for a while, Dung moved in with Phuong in Dau Giong hamlet, Phuong Thanh commune. From around July 2016, Dung suspected that his lover had someone else and often argued.

On the night of August 29, Dung came home from drinking and saw Ms. Phuong wearing strange clothes, so they started arguing.

Dung then went behind the house and took a knife and stabbed Ms. Phuong in the chest several times, causing her to die on the spot. After committing the crime, Dung threw the knife into a nearby ditch and fled.

Upon receiving the report, the police quickly arrived at the scene to investigate and verify the incident. Based on the information about the subject's identification characteristics, the detectives deployed to arrest the subject.

Dung was detained for investigation.

The case is still under investigation and processing. At 3:00 a.m. on August 30, the police discovered and arrested Dung while he was taking a car to escape.
