(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of September 5th, in keeping with the nationwide atmosphere of bringing children to school, provincial leaders attended the opening ceremony of the 2016-2017 school year at schools throughout the province.

Quang Tien Primary School was formed by merging two schools: Nghia Quang 1 Primary School and Nghia Quang 3 Primary School in the 2004-2005 school year. Currently, the school has 48 staff members, teachers, and employees, all of whom meet the required qualifications, with over 87% having qualifications above the standard.

In the 2015-2016 school year, the school had 2 teachers who achieved the title of excellent teacher and had many innovative teaching methods recognized at level 3 at the town level, and 2 staff members and teachers received Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The school has ample classrooms, functional rooms, administrative offices, and a boarding area, ensuring one classroom per class, with 23 classrooms for 23 classes.

At the end of the 2015-2016 school year, the percentage of students completing their class programs reached 100%, the percentage of students completing the primary school program reached 100%; the percentage of outstanding students was 42%; and the percentage of students receiving awards for their academic achievements was 45%. In the 2016-2017 school year, the school had 23 classes with 680 students.

In the last three years, the school has consistently had excellent students participating in provincial-level competitions and exchanges (IOE competition, Children's Mathematics exchange, Young Informatics competition, Physical Education competition) and achieving high results.

Recognizing the school's efforts and high achievements, on June 17, 2016, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a decision recognizing Quang Tien Primary School as meeting National Standards Level 2.

*Attending the opening ceremony atCon Cuong Town Primary SchoolComrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - celebrated the opening of the new school year with nearly 12,000 students throughout the district.

This school year, Con Cuong district has 11,975 students across all educational levels. This includes 3,799 preschool children; 5,814 primary school students; 389 secondary school students; and 1,467 high school students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - praised the achievements of the district's education sector; and at the same time requested the government and schools to have specific plans with feasible solutions to effectively organize and implement the campaign and emulation movement of good teaching - good learning. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to build a team of teachers with strong professional expertise and enhanced responsibility in their work, thereby continuously innovating teaching and learning methods to improve the quality of education.

At the opening ceremony, many agencies and departments presented gifts to poor students in Con Cuong. Nghe An Radio and Television Station donated 7,500 notebooks; the Con Cuong Education Promotion Association donated many gifts including books, notebooks, pens, rulers, red scarves, and clothes to poor students from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a total value of 15 million VND.

At Con Cuong Town Primary School, the Nghe An Lottery Company donated 10 bicycles to 10 underprivileged students, and TH True Milk Group donated 20 cartons of milk... thereby encouraging and motivating students to strive to overcome difficulties and achieve high results in the new school year.

In the 2016-2017 school year, Dien Hoa Primary School had 11 classes with a total of 327 students, including 55 first-grade students; 57 students who excelled at the district level, 252 students who excelled at the school level, 2 students who won awards in the national-level Children's Mathematics Olympiad, and 2 teachers who were recognized as excellent teachers at the district level.

The school's objectives for the new academic year are to continue reforming management towards decentralization, allowing the school to autonomously develop and implement its tasks; to encourage creativity and increase the autonomy and responsibility of teachers in organizing teaching, educational activities, and student assessment. The school aims to maintain its status as a National Standard School at Level 2 and strives to achieve the title of Outstanding Collective Labor at the provincial level.

* In a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere welcoming the new school year, Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School (Quynh Luu district) held its opening ceremony for the 2016-2017 school year.

In the 2015-2016 school year, Ho Xuan Huong Junior High School had 100% of its students achieving excellent or advanced academic results. * At Nghia Tho Primary School, Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - attended and delivered a congratulatory speech.

Attending the opening ceremony with nearly 300 students of Nghia Tho Primary School were representatives from the Departments of Education and Training; the Department of Health; leaders of the Nghia Dan District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; and leaders of Nghia Tho Commune. Nghia Tho Primary School is located in Nghia Tho Commune, a particularly disadvantaged commune in Nghia Dan District. The percentage of students from poor households is 75 (25.4%), near-poor households is 23 (7.8%), and ethnic minority students number 222 (75.25%). However, with the attention and investment from the Party Committee and government, the contributions of the people, and especially the great efforts of the teachers and students, by May 2015, the school achieved national standard level 1, and in the 2015-2016 school year, the educational quality assessment reached level 3.

Last school year, all 290/292 students completed the program. Of these, 68 students achieved outstanding student status, accounting for 23.3%; 92 students received commendations for one subject (7-8 points), accounting for 31.5%; and all 55/55 students completed the primary school program, achieving 100%.

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the teachers and students of Nghia Tho Primary School, Ms. Chu Thi Anh, the school principal, expressed gratitude for the great support and assistance from the Party committee and government at all levels and promised to continue promoting dynamism and creativity to build the school according to the motto "Exemplary teachers, diligent students, a well-equipped school, and active students".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and praised the achievements of the teachers and students of Nghia Tho Primary School during the past school year. He expressed his hope that the teachers would overcome all difficulties, build upon their achievements, and effectively implement the educational reform program; improve management; and enhance the quality of teachers. * On the morning of September 5th, 26,000 students in the mountainous district of Anh Son enthusiastically began the new school year 2016-2017. During the past school year, Anh Son Town Primary School overcame difficulties and achieved many accolades, including: Outstanding Advanced Labor Collective at the provincial level, Clean and Strong Party Branch, and Outstanding Strong Trade Union. The school maintained Level III primary education universalization, Level II national standards, and achieved Level III primary school quality standards. It also had 62 outstanding students at the district level, and 2 students won prizes in the national "Young Scholar" and "Beautiful Handwriting" competitions.

Hung Thong Primary School currently has 318 students. At the opening ceremony of the 2016-2017 school year, the school welcomed 57 new first-grade students.

Over the years, the school has achieved many high academic results. In the 2015-2016 school year, Hung Thong Primary School completed 100% of the primary school curriculum, and its educational activities achieved 100% quality.

Regarding the level of character and competency development, all students at Hung Thong Primary School achieved 100%. Of these, 133 out of 318 students, equivalent to 41.8%, were recognized as outstanding students. Dang Thai Mai Junior High School is a school with a rich tradition, having been established and developed for nearly 35 years. For many years, Dang Thai Mai Junior High School has consistently led the entire province in the quality of general education and specialized education among junior high schools.

In the 2015-2016 school year, the school had 58 students recognized as outstanding students at the provincial level, 14 students won prizes in the national online English Olympiad, 5 students won prizes in the US Math Olympiad, and 1 student won a Silver Medal in the national Children's Math Competition. 100% of the school's teachers meet or exceed the required standards, with 46 teachers having been recognized as outstanding teachers at the city level, 34 teachers as outstanding teachers at the provincial level, 3 teachers receiving commendations from the Provincial People's Committee, and many other achievements.

Phuong Chi

*Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – attended the opening ceremony at Hoang Mai 2 High School.

Hoang Mai 2 High School was established on April 20, 2016, and is the second public high school in the town. In the 2016-2017 school year, it enrolled 7 classes of 10th graders with 280 students and 22 full-time teachers. From the 2017-2018 school year onwards, one additional 10th grader class will be enrolled each year. The projected size by the 2023-2024 school year is a maximum of 36 classes with 1440 students.

Hoang Mai 2 High School was established to meet the practical needs of parents and students in the area, while also fulfilling the requirements for socio-cultural development and human resource development for the town.

The school maintained its overall quality, ranking among the top schools in the province. In the 2016-2017 high school entrance exam results, Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School ranked among the top schools in the province with a score of 39.3. The school's facilities are continuously being improved, and the school environment is becoming green, clean, and beautiful. In the coming school year, the school will promote the "Good Teaching - Good Learning" emulation movement, innovate teaching methods, and maintain its status as a national standard school.
