(Baonghean.vn) - In the new school year 2016 - 2017, teachers and students of Quynh Hoa Kindergarten (Quynh Luu) are still anxiously teaching and learning in a school with a narrow campus and seriously degraded classrooms.

Quynh Hoa Kindergarten currently has 355 children in 11 classes, including 2 nursery groups and 9 kindergarten classes. According to kindergarten standards, each child must have a minimum area of ​​12 square meters, but currently the area of ​​Quynh Hoa Kindergarten is only 1,550 square meters, which is 2,700 square meters short.

The school's young groups have to study in cramped classrooms.

Due to lack of facilities, the school is currently borrowing 2 rooms from the commune People's Committee to use as classrooms for kindergarten children. In the main school area, the grade 4 classrooms were built decades ago, formerly the cooperative's office building, and are now degraded, with peeling walls, rotten wooden pillars, and many places have to be propped up and tied with ropes underneath, posing a potential danger to teachers and students, especially during the rainy season.

Also due to lack of space and degraded classrooms, in the 2015-2016 school year, Quynh Hoa Kindergarten was the only kindergarten in Quynh Luu district that was not recognized for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children.

Ms. Hoang Thi Van - Principal of the school shared: "We hope that the departments and organizations will join in, creating conditions for the children to play and live in better conditions. Currently, the campus is very cramped, the playground and some classrooms are too small and not up to standard. The children have a very difficult life, both teachers and students are very tired."

It is known that the locality has now arranged land in a more suitable area, ensuring the area for Quynh Hoa Kindergarten to build a new school, but the funding source for building the school is facing difficulties. Therefore, in the new school year, teachers and students of Quynh Hoa Kindergarten are facing many difficulties in teaching and living.
