Criticizing railway leaders for purchasing 160 old Chinese train cars
The Ministry of Transport has just issued a document criticizing the leaders of Vietnam Railways Corporation for shortcomings in the policy of purchasing 160 used freight cars from China.

The document stated that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport had a meeting and passed a Resolution on issues related to the investment policy and import of used freight cars at Vietnam Railways Corporation.
Pursuant to the Resolution of the Executive Committee, the Ministry of Transport severely criticized the Board of Members, Chairman of the Board of Members, and General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation for shortcomings in directing the review of the import of used freight cars, in responding to and responding to the press, and reporting to the Ministry of Transport.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport requires the Board of Members and the Executive Board of Vietnam Railways Corporation to seriously review, with a truly receptive spirit, clearly recognize shortcomings and shortcomings, clearly identify the responsibilities of the collective and each individual to draw profound lessons. Urgently implement the directions of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport in the production and business activities of the Corporation in the coming time.
Regarding the conclusion pointing out a series of violations in compliance with legal regulations on management and use of capital and assets at Vietnam Railways Corporation and some member units of the Government Inspectorate, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong said that the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate was implemented over a long period of time and was directed by the Prime Minister. The viewpoint of the Ministry of Transport is to strictly implement the conclusions of the inspection.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport has directed the Departments, Divisions and Vietnam Railway Corporation to seriously implement these conclusions with many contents including financial handling, individual and collective responsibilities and overall assessment of restructuring as well as review of land facilities.
The Ministry of Transport requires units to review, report and handle before October 5, 2016./.
