According to the representative of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, the Korean armed forces are ready to provide necessary support, if requested.
According to Yonhap, since May this year, the water level at the Hvangan Dam, 40 kilometers north of the demilitarized zone separating North and South Korea, has been rising. In case of dam discharge, the water would reach the Kunnam Dam on the south side of the Imdzhingan River within 30 minutes.
