Suburban primary school receives meaningful gift at the beginning of the school year

(Baonghean.vn) - In the new school year 2016 - 2017, students of Nghi Duc Primary School have an additional space to expand their knowledge and improve their reading culture. The school was given 14 bookcases and 551 books by the Nghi Duc Commune Association in Hanoi and the Nghi Duc Commune Volunteer Tutor Association.

At the beginning of the new school year 2016 - 2017, Nghi Duc Primary School in Nghi Duc suburban commune (Vinh city) was awarded 14 bookcases and 551 books, including 14 bookcases and 435 books from Nghi Duc Commune Association in Hanoi and 116 books from Nghi Duc Commune Volunteer Tutors Association.

In order to practice and improve the reading culture of students in Nghi Duc commune, the association of fellow countrymen as well as the association of tutors of this commune organized a donation, purchased bookshelves, and donated books to the school to make a mini library and classroom bookcases placed in each classroom.

Teachers and students of Nghi Duc Primary School were happy with the meaningful gift from their hometown children.

The books are mainly about famous people, science, life skills... necessary for primary school students.

Teacher Le Thi Hong Lam - Principal of Nghi Duc Primary School said: "With these donated books, the school will plan to divide each class into a bookcase with many different genres of books, in order to practice regular reading skills for each class and each student."

Bookcases are placed in classrooms.

“Giving books to children in the commune is a combination of people from the hometown to create a better cultural environment for the children. So that they can read, learn and understand more about the world around them,” said Ms. Ngo Dieu Thuy, representative of Nghi Duc Volunteer Tutor Association.
