Flash floods swept through many villages in western Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn)- From last night until this morning (September 14), due to heavy rain causing flash floods, many houses in Yen Tinh commune (Tuong Duong) were swept away.

According to incomplete statistics from the People's Committee of Yen Tinh Commune, as of this morning (September 14), the entire commune had 4 villages with severe damage, including Vang Cuom, Pa Ty, Cap Chang, and Cha Lum. Nearly 70 houses were flooded, of which 7 were completely swept away. Five schools were flooded, including 1 kindergarten, 2 primary schools, and 1 secondary school.

The flood started rising at around 0:00 on September 14. As soon as news of the flash flood was reported, the leaders of Tuong Duong district went directly to Yen Tinh commune to direct and help people fight the flood. Currently, the Tuong Duong district police force, the district military command... have been present to help people overcome the consequences.
