Head of Russia's 'Special Flight Team' Arrested
On September 13, Yaroslav Odintsev, the Director General of the "Russian Special Flight Crew"—an agency dedicated to serving Russia's top leaders—was arrested and placed under house arrest on suspicion of abuse of power.

The position has been temporarily transferred to a deputy director-general of the agency.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Odintsev on September 7th, and his house arrest will last until November 6th. In addition, authorities arrested three other individuals in connection with alleged fraud in the procurement of aircraft for the flight crew: Igor Kovalenko, head of the procurement agency of the Russian President's Office; Dmitry Pozdnhiakov, a member of the bidding committee of the "Russian Special Flight Crew"; and Aleksey Menhitskiy, a leader of the Pribor-Service company. All three face charges of large-scale fraud.
The incident has been reported to President Vladimir Putin, but the Russian President's Office has not yet commented on the matter.
