The Buddha taught five "don'ts" for a peaceful life.

If people desire to live happy and peaceful lives but still harbor feelings of conflict and resentment in their hearts, they will never be able to achieve it.

Remember these 5 things you shouldn't do to keep your life free from worries!

The first thing to avoid: Don't be stingy when you have money.

Money is something you can't bring with you when you're born, and you can't take it with you when you die. Health is far more important; with health, you have everything.

There's a saying in Vietnamese folklore: "Don't fear earning little money, only fear dying young." With good health, there's no need to worry about not being able to earn money. For the sake of your health, spend money only when necessary; don't be stingy when you have money.

The second thing to avoid: Don't wait for good fortune.

Children and grandchildren have their own blessings; don't turn yourself into a beast of burden for their sake. Take advantage of your time to enjoy life, don't overwork yourself for them. Overworking is the most dangerous killer of your health.

The third thing to avoid: If you have love, don't let go.

Life is short, and love is hard to find. Whether you love or are loved, it's all fate, and you should embrace it. If you let go today, it will never come to you again in this lifetime.

Fourth thing to avoid: Don't let anger fester inside.

In life, everyone may encounter difficulties or unpleasant situations, but don't let them cause you to become extremely angry. Anger is an objective reality; don't hold it inside. Holding your breath will cause stagnation of energy, and stagnant energy can lead to illness.

When faced with situations that make you angry, find someone to confide in, express your feelings completely; this will help you let go of the anger faster, and your inner peace will return.

Friends are the best tool for "venting your frustration," and also the best source of motivation, encouragement, and strength.

The fifth thing to avoid: Don't hold grudges.

Be open-minded, treat others with kindness and compassion, don't dwell on trivial matters, let go of grudges, and don't harbor resentment. Make every day of your life a joyful one.

Ancient people lived long lives because they practiced "three things they didn't care about," which meant they didn't need to know three things: they didn't care about grudges, they didn't care about age, and they didn't care about illness.

Practice these things to live a truly happy life!
