The letter, from Trump's longtime personal physician, Harold Bornstein of Lennox Hill Hospital, was released following his physical examination last week, NBC News reported.
According to the letter, Mr. Trump is 1.9 meters tall, weighs 107 kg, takes medication to lower cholesterol, and has normal liver and thyroid functions. The one-page letter also lists the results of tests on the Republican candidate's body fat, blood sugar, and blood pressure. He was "hospitalized once, at age 11, for an appendectomy," and does not smoke or drink alcohol.
"In short, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health," Bornstein concluded. The letter was written in five minutes, while a limousine sent by Mr. Trump was waiting outside the doctor's Manhattan office.
Yesterday, Mr. Trump also shared the results of his comprehensive medical examination on "The Dr. Oz Show." Dr. Mehmet Oz stated that the American billionaire is obese but "healthy enough" to be president.
Mr. Trump told Dr. Oz that when he looked in the mirror, he saw himself looking much younger than his 70 years.
"I can say that I saw a 35-year-old man," he said.
Earlier this year, Bornstein drew attention when he said that Trump would be the healthiest president in American history.
The health issues of both Trump and his opponent, Hillary Clinton, are at the heart of the race for the White House. The Democratic candidate also released an updated statement yesterday regarding her health and pneumonia.
Lisa Bardack, Clinton's personal physician, confirmed that she is recovering after stumbling at a memorial service on 9/11 and is now healthy enough to be president.
