According to information from the People's Committee of My Ly commune, on the afternoon of September 12, Mr. Vi Van Toan went fishing on the Nam Non River. On the morning of September 13, while checking his fishing line, he discovered a large eel caught on the hook. Because the fish was so large, Mr. Toan had to work very hard to get the fish onto the boat.

The fish was about 2 meters long, weighed 16 kg and was sold immediately to a restaurant in Muong Xen town for nearly 10 million VND.
