Life changed because she looked exactly like Hillary Clinton.

With a striking resemblance to Hillary Clinton, 61-year-old Teresa Barnwell, who lives in Palm Desert, California, rose to prominence when Bill Clinton became president in 1992.

Since Hillary Clinton began her presidential campaign in 2016, Teresa's life has taken a new turn with countless offers for body double work and monthly incomes of up to $10,000.

Teresa Barnwell earned thousands of dollars by impersonating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Teresa was invited to travel the world for photo shoots, TV commercials, music videos, and to attend numerous events, meeting famous figures such as comedian Jay Leno, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, former US Secretary of State Colin Powell, and even Hillary Clinton herself.

The first meeting between Hillary Clinton and her doppelganger took place at a book signing in Los Angeles in 1996.

Due to the internationally influential nature of her work and Hillary's high-profile political position, the two always avoid appearing together at the same time.

“There was a time when I felt like Hillary was watching me; wherever I went, she would appear shortly after. This became a little difficult for me because Hillary must have felt quite awkward encountering someone who looked exactly like her. The only time I met her was at a book signing. Hillary was very nice and even joked that I could attend all the events she didn’t want to go to,” Teresa said.

While impersonating Hillary Clinton, Teresa consistently declined job offers that were inappropriate or could damage the Democratic candidate's reputation.

“Occasionally I receive bizarre offers, like becoming a Hillary in a stripper version. I find that terrible and have refused. I don’t want to damage the image and reputation of both myself and Hillary. I don’t mind doing comedy or acting silly when impersonating Hillary, but it’s not always possible,” Teresa shared.

However, Teresa's life wasn't always happy. Because of her striking resemblance to the famous politician, she found it difficult to live a normal life.

“It’s not difficult to be Hillary because we’re practically identical twins. The natural resemblance between me and Hillary makes even passersby mistake us for each other and ask to take pictures. I can’t buy something as simple as a banana, for example, without people saying things like I’m really Hillary. Once at an event, a group of Japanese tourists expressed their honor at meeting me because they believed I was Hillary. Afterward, we were swept up in a crowd of people wanting autographs, bracelets, clothes—everything I owned was being pulled at, and security had to help us get away,” Teresa recounted.
