Provincial police leaders visit soldiers injured while chasing drug traffickers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 19, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department, went to Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi) to encourage and visit police officers injured while chasing drug traffickers in Que Phong.

On behalf of the Provincial Police Department, comrade Nguyen Huu Cau presented 25 million VND from the Comradeship Fund of the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An Provincial Police. At the same time, he encouraged comrade Tuan to try to overcome difficulties and feel secure during treatment.

Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported: At around 2:00 p.m. on September 16, 2016, Task Force 816H (Que Phong District Police) discovered 2 subjects carrying a backpack containing heroin entering from the Lao border into the mountainous forest area of ​​Thong Thu Commune, Que Phong District, so they deployed forces to surround and arrest them. Suddenly, another subject appeared and used an AK gun to shoot directly at the surrounding force, causing Lieutenant Le Van Tuan, an officer of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug Crimes of Que Phong District Police, to be hit by 2 bullets in the buttocks and left thigh.

Despite being injured, with a brave spirit and determination to attack the criminals to the end, comrade Tuan held on to 01 subject until his teammates helped arrest him. The task force continued to surround and capture 01 more subject. The subject who used an AK gun to attack the arresting force, robbed a backpack containing drugs and fled to the border area of ​​Lao PDR.

Immediately after the incident, the provincial police leadership directed the Que Phong district police to coordinate with the Que Phong district general hospital to provide first aid and take Lieutenant Le Van Tuan to Nghe An provincial general hospital for emergency treatment. Realizing that the injury was too serious, comrade Tuan was later transferred to Viet Duc hospital (Hanoi) for emergency treatment.

After being operated on by doctors at Viet Duc Hospital and treated and monitored at the Department of Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery, comrade Le Van Tuan's health has improved.
