This uniquely designed bicycle can reach speeds of over 144 km/h.
This bicycle, capable of reaching speeds comparable to a car, has just set a new world record.
A bicycle has just been entered into the Guinness World Records in the category of the fastest human-powered vehicle in the world, according to Gizmodo.
At the World Human Powered Speed Challenge held in Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA, the Aerovelo Eta high-speed bicycle broke its own previous record set in 2015, reaching a speed of 144.18 km/h.
To achieve this record, credit goes primarily to driver Todd Reichert, who is also a co-inventor of the Aerovolo, alongside improvements made by the product development team.

The vehicle has a rather peculiar appearance with an unusually designed control panel. This design reduces gravity, allowing the vehicle to reach higher speeds.
In addition, the ultra-thin tires reduce friction with the road, and the extremely lightweight frame combined with the bullet-shaped outer shell design helps the Eta minimize wind resistance.

The pedaling effort required to set a new world record with Eta is equivalent to the effort you would put into pedaling a bicycle to light up three light bulbs.
