- Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha, recently in the gold business in general, there have been violations of the law. After the Ministry of Science and Technology in Official Dispatch No. 1152.BKHCN-TTr dated April 1, 2016 had specific information about that situation, the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Science and Technology and related agencies to conduct inspections of enterprises and gold trading establishments and you were assigned the responsibility of being the Head of the Inspection Team. Surely through the actual inspections, many issues have been revealed that both the state management and consumer perspectives need to pay attention to?

- The above official dispatch of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the full content of the issue is "Inspection of compliance with legal regulations on measurement in gold trading; on standards, measurement, quality and labeling of goods in the production and trading of gold jewelry and fine arts". Implementing the official dispatch, based on legal regulations, the current situation of gold production and trading in the province, the Department of Science and Technology advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 3700/QD-UBND dated August 1, 2016 to establish an interdisciplinary inspection team led by the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology, with members being officers from the following agencies: Market Management Department, Department of Standards - Measurement and Quality, State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An Branch, Economic Security Department of the Provincial Police. Up to now, the team is still in the process of performing its duties.

- The number of gold production and trading establishments in the province is quite large. With the desire to create the best management in the field of gold production and trading, promptly handle and rectify violations, in this inspection, in addition to controlling administrative procedures, measurement, and labeling of goods, the interdisciplinary inspection team focused on taking samples for quality testing - a professional activity that takes a lot of time. Therefore, up to now, the team is still in the process of performing its tasks. We can only inform that from the inspection, a number of establishments have been discovered to have violated; thereby affirming that gold production and trading activities in the province need to be rectified...

- Yes, the inspection and examination time of the interdisciplinary team has been quite long but has not yet given any initial specific assessments and conclusions. - There are three basic objectives set out in the implementation of inspections and examinations. Thirdly, to affirm the control role of state management agencies on measurement in gold trading; on standards, measurement, quality and labeling of goods for gold jewelry and fine arts.
