Previously, on August 11, 2016, Regiment 935 (Division 370) organized a flight crew for commanders from squadron leader and above on Su-30MK2 aircraft - the first return of the "king cobra" after being grounded.

According to the Air Defense - Air Force electronic newspaper: At exactly 6:50 a.m. on August 11, the meteorological flight conducted by Colonel Tran Van Dung - Regiment Commander and Colonel Le Van Hoi - Political Commissar of the Regiment landed safely at Bien Hoa airport, completing the meteorological reconnaissance mission.

The pilots took turns conducting training flights according to plan. At 10:15, the flight crew of Regiment 935 finished, completing the plan with 9/9 flights, ensuring absolute safety.

This is really good news for the Vietnam People's Air Force in particular and the Vietnam People's Army in general because during the time of temporary flight suspension, the gap left by the Su-30MK2 fighters is extremely large, especially for the combat duty mission ready to protect the sea and islands.

Although the 925th Regiment equipped with Su-27 fighters or other regiments with Su-22 attack aircraft in service have had to work hard to take on everything from air defense fighter missions to maritime patrol missions, because the number and capabilities of these aircraft are limited, the return of the Su-30MK2 at this time has a special effect.

After Regiment 935, the remaining units including Regiment 923 and Regiment 927 will certainly soon organize flight teams for officers and pilots, so that this multi-role fighter can once again proudly fly over all skies of the Vietnamese homeland.
