Two children were abandoned near the police station.

Two children abandoned outside the Hai Phong City Police headquarters were taken to the SOS Children's Village to be raised, after a day of unsuccessful attempts to find their relatives.

Early in the morning of September 3, people discovered two strangers riding a motorbike carrying two children, a girl over 2 years old and a boy about 1 year old, near the Hai Phong City Police Gate headquarters, leaving the two children behind, then driving away. After about an hour, when the two strangers did not return to pick up the children, people reported to the Minh Khai Ward Police.

The ward police sent officers to take the two children to the headquarters to take care of them, and at the same time announced to find their relatives. However, by late afternoon of the same day, no one had come forward to claim the children as their relatives, forcing the authorities to complete the procedures to transfer the two children to the SOS Children's Village for care.
