(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 3, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, had a working session with the Nghe An Provincial Police.

Overview of the working session

At the meeting, the Director of the Provincial Police Department briefly reported on the situation and results of the work in the first 10 months of 2016. Accordingly, closely following the direction of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, Nghe An Provincial Police Department has proactively and synchronously deployed all aspects of work, well organized the work of grasping, forecasting, and handling the situation, effectively implemented plans and measures to ensure national security, avoiding being passive, surprised, or having complicated hot spots in the whole province.

The work of preventing and combating all types of criminal, economic and drug crimes achieved high results, traffic accidents decreased in all three criteria. Of which, 851 cases of social order crimes were detected; 921 cases of drug crimes and social evils were detected, with 1,130 subjects...

The mass movement to protect national security has had many positive changes. Party building, force building, logistics and technical work have achieved many outstanding results...

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Nghe An Police in maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.

The Deputy Minister requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Police need to continue to synchronously implement police work measures, proactively grasp the developments of the situation, plots and tricks of hostile forces, grasp the internal security situation to proactively advise the Party Committee and local authorities to direct the resolution; ensure internal solidarity and unity, maintain political security, social order and safety in the area, contribute to serving well the tasks of economic and social development of the province and the peace and happiness of the people.
