Wedding dress rental shop catches fire overnight, 3 people dead

A fire suddenly broke out in a wedding dress rental shop and burned fiercely, killing 3 family members.

On the morning of October 4, Mr. Le Huynh Minh Tu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 12 (HCMC) said that local authorities are still coordinating with relevant units to conduct a crime scene investigation to investigate the cause of the fire that killed 3 people at a wedding and engagement dress rental service store on Nguyen Van Qua Street, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, District 12, HCMC.

According to Mr. Tu, the deceased victims were identified as 3 family members: Trinh Ngoc Tin (33 years old), Nguyen Phuong Thuy (30 years old, Tin's wife, both from Quang Ngai) and daughter Trinh Bao Nhi (2 years old).

According to initial information, at around 2:45 a.m. the same day, many people discovered smoke rising from the house that was a wedding dress rental shop, so they shouted to each other to put out the fire. Because there were many flammable objects in the house, the fire grew bigger and bigger, making it difficult to put out the fire on the spot.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police of District 12 dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire and discovered Mr. Tin's entire family dead in the house. Many items in the house were burned by the fire.

As of 7 a.m. the same day, authorities were still blocking off the scene and investigating the cause.
