(Baonghean.vn) - After the UK held its Brexit vote in June 2016, EU member states are now uncertain whether they will ever leave the European Union. Most recently, a member of the European Parliament, György Schöpflin, stated, "If you are looking for a country that is about to leave the EU, look at France."

Schöpflin stated, "In Hungary, the number of people who support remaining in the EU is around 65%, while in France it is only 40%, and in Italy it is similarly low."

Mr. Schöpflin shared, "We have always wanted a European Union that is willing to listen. However, countries are now unwilling to listen and are going their own way. It is very difficult to say what things will be like in the next three years."

A recent poll by the University of Edinburgh showed that 53% of French people want a referendum on whether to leave or remain in the EU, with 33% supporting remaining and 22% undecided.

Even the president of the French National Front, Marine Le Pen, once stated on television that "I will vote for Brexit, and I also think that France has more than 1,000 reasons to leave the EU than the UK."

Furthermore, in the town of Beauvais, located between Calais and Paris, most residents support Frexit.
