Specifically, at around 11 p.m. on the same day, October 6, some people traveling on Vo Chi Cong Street in the direction of Nhat Tan Bridge discovered a man jumping out of the driver's seat of an ABC taxi, calling for help, with a lot of blood on his body and a very serious neck injury. Immediately, people took the victim to the emergency room.
Upon closer inspection, witnesses saw a young man wearing jeans and a short-sleeved T-shirt running out of the taxi, holding a weapon in his hand. Blood stains were also all over his body.
Thinking that this was the culprit who injured the driver to rob him, many people shouted to each other and used rudimentary tools to chase him.
Mr. Pham Vu Van (residing in Xuan La, Tay Ho, Hanoi) was the person who directly chased the suspect. Mr. Van said: At the time the incident happened, he was moving in the opposite direction.
“When I got closer to the scene, I saw a young man wearing jeans and a t-shirt running away, with many people behind him shouting: Robbery, robbery,” Mr. Van recounted.
Immediately, Mr. Van ran after him. The suspect ran into the field to hide, but with the people chasing him and because he was unfamiliar with the terrain, not long after, the young man came back ashore and was arrested.
Mr. Van also said that when he returned to the scene, the taxi with license plate 30A-48287 of ABC company had a lot of blood stains on the door.
After arresting the suspect, the people conducted an inspection and discovered that the young man had an ID card with the name Ha Van Hieu (born in 1997, originally from Thach Dan commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province; currently residing in Dong Dang town, also in this district).
Many people believe that the suspect stabbed the driver to steal the car.
Upon receiving the news, the police quickly arrived at the scene and escorted the suspect to headquarters.
According to the reporter, at 1:00 a.m. on October 7, the man driving the taxi was injured in the neck and was receiving emergency care at E Hospital.
The case is currently being actively investigated./.
