Yen Thanh Youth and 'Hundred Million' Models

(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, the issue of labor and employment for rural youth in Yen Thanh district has achieved some remarkable results, from which many typical examples of good economic performance have emerged, contributing youth strength to the cause of building and renewing the homeland.

After 6 years of working abroad, in 2012, Mr. Cao Dinh Tuan in Hong Linh hamlet (Hung Thanh) decided to return to his hometown to start a business in the civilian garment industry. With the encouragement of his family and support from the commune union, he initially boldly invested 500 million VND to build an industrial garment factory.

After 3 years of operation, this facility is gradually developing effectively and creating stable jobs for 13 young people in the area, with a salary of 3.5 million VND/person/month. Currently, Cao Dinh Tuan's industrial sewing facility is cooperating with a number of enterprises in and outside the province to process many garment orders, ensuring an income of nearly 20 million VND/month.

Tuan Hang Phuc civil sewing facility - Hung Thanh commune has created stable jobs for 13 young people from Hung Thanh, Phuc Thanh and Hau Thanh communes.

Mr. Phan Van Thang - Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Thanh commune said: With the attention of the Party Committee and the government in issuing policies to attract and support young people to start a business, currently in the commune there are 4 models of young people with an average income of 20 million VND/month.

Typical examples include the forest product processing model of Phan Quoc Thuong (born in 1985) in Ngoc Thanh hamlet, which invested over 1 billion VND, specializing in producing raw materials for plywood, exporting to the Indian and Taiwanese markets, creating jobs for 20-30 local workers; the comprehensive livestock economic development model of the young couple Nguyen Van Hoang and Nguyen Thi Ha in Son Thanh hamlet, which brings in an income of 12-15 million VND per month... From the models of good economic performance of young people, they have spread and expanded in the area, attracting 700 young people to participate in economic development in the locality.

The comprehensive economic development model of young woman Nguyen Thi Ha, Son Thanh hamlet, Hung Thanh commune is currently investing in raising 30 goats; 4 cows; 60 pigs and hundreds of chickens on the hills, earning an income of 12 million VND/month.

In Tho Thanh commune, over the past year, the commune's Youth Union has coordinated with the Commune's Youth Development Committee to establish 7 youth models specializing in producing fine art wooden products, rattan and bamboo products for export, and mechanical repair, attracting 150 youth union members to participate. At the same time, they signed a trust with the district's Social Policy Bank to borrow over 1 billion VND and attracted many preferential loan sources, supporting young people in economic development. Thanks to that, about 60% of young people have effectively utilized capital sources, creating jobs and stable income.

To promote the role of youth in building the homeland, closely following the content of Resolution No. 25 of the Party Central Committee (10th tenure) on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization", in recent years, Yen Thanh district has focused on improving the quality of young workers, creating jobs, increasing income and improving the lives of young people.

The model of raising 3,000 laying ducks of young man Hoang Xuan Sang - Van Trang hamlet, Long Thanh commune brings in a good income.

Accordingly, many projects have been issued, combining the mobilization of many social resources, and adequate budget investment to promote vocational training and popularize vocational training for young people; there are preferential credit policies for young people to borrow to create jobs and start a business; the District Youth Union and the Youth Union actively propagate the State's policies and guidelines related to employment.

In addition to supporting and transferring scientific and technical advances, 39 grassroots youth organizations also entrusted the district's Social Policy Bank to borrow over 65 billion VND, of which the loan capital for job creation in the first 9 months of this year was 875 million VND, creating favorable conditions for capital for union members and young people to establish themselves and start a business.

Along with that, career counseling and job orientation are given special attention and focus by the District Youth Union and the Yen Thanh Youth Union. Every year, they coordinate with the district's agricultural and industrial technical vocational school and vocational schools in and outside the province to directly visit schools, organize counseling for students to choose suitable majors and careers, and have many forms of vocational training and career guidance for rural youth.

:Many rural youths participate in learning mechanical repair at Yen Thanh Agricultural and Industrial Technical Vocational College.

Thanks to that, the whole district has built hundreds of youth economic development models, of which 30 models generate income from 100-200 million VND/year. Many grassroots organizations and associations also regularly launch many movements such as supporting each other in terms of working days, donating trees and seedlings, organizing training courses to transfer science and technology... to help disadvantaged youths develop their economy and become rich legitimately right on their homeland.
