Da Nang protests China's election in Hoang Sa and Truong Sa

On October 10, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Huynh Duc Tho issued a statement protesting China's recent election of delegates to the 2nd People's Congress of the so-called "Sansha City".

The statement of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Huynh Duc Tho, stated: "The Da Nang City Government is once again extremely concerned about the fact that on September 22, 2016, China organized the election of delegates to the 2nd People's Congress of the so-called "Sansha City".

China's election in the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos has seriously violated Vietnam's sovereignty.

Da Nang City resolutely rejects and strongly protests the above action and requests that China not repeat similar actions.
