Twenty percent of survey participants admitted to having a "very negative" attitude toward the world's number one economy, while another 44% chose "basically bad" when asked about the issue. Only 2 percent gave a "very good" rating to the US, and 21% chose "basically good".
The European Union also received similar sentiments from Russians surveyed, with 17% rating it very negatively and 41% as "basically bad". Only a quarter of respondents rated it "generally positive," and a mere 2% said they had a "very good" view of the EU.
Sociologists assert that, despite the warming trend in Russia-Türkiye relations, the majority of the Russian population still holds a rather unfavorable view of the country. Thirteen percent of respondents admitted they strongly disliked Türkiye, and 40 percent rated Ankara as "fundamentally bad."
Ukraine is the next name on the list of countries or groups of countries experiencing negative attitudes in Russia. "Basically not good" is the view of 38% of survey respondents regarding Ukraine, and "very bad" accounts for 18%. Meanwhile, 24% still maintain a positive attitude towards Kyiv and 2% rate the country "very well."
The survey took place at the end of September, with 1,600 people from 48 regions of Russia participating. The Nevada Center asserts that the statistical margin of error for the survey does not exceed 3.4%.
