Mr. Nguyen Tan Tien (reporter of Nong Thong Ngay Nay newspaper) had his Journalist card revoked.

At the request of the Director of the Press Department, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan issued a decision to revoke the press card number IBT01870 for the period 2016-2020 of Mr. Nguyen Tan Tien issued at Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper because he had been disciplined with a warning.

The document also stated that Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper is responsible for revoking Mr. Nguyen Tan Tien's press card and submitting it to the Ministry of Information and Communications before October 31, 2016.

This decision is based on the 1989 Press Law, the 1999 Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Press Law and Decree No. 51/ND-CP of 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Press Law; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Press Law.

At the same time, it is also based on Decree No. 132/ND-CP of 2013 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Based on Circular No. 07/TT-BVHTT of 2007 of the Ministry of Culture and Information guiding the issuance, exchange and revocation of press cards. Based on the Decision of the Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper and the disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Tan Tien.
