Commendation awarded for two drug-related cases handled by Vinh City Police.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 24th, the Nghe An Provincial Police held a ceremony to commend the Vinh City Police for their outstanding achievements in investigating and combating cases 016H and 016D, arresting two suspects for the illegal trafficking of narcotics.

Attending the award ceremony were Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; and representatives of the leadership of the provincial police departments and the Vinh City Party Committee.

On October 22nd, in Block 13, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City Police successfully cracked case 016H, arresting Lo Thi Sen (born in 1979), residing in Chau Kim Commune, Que Phong District, for the illegal transportation and sale of narcotics.

At the scene, authorities seized 2.5 blocks of heroin weighing 800 grams. At the police station, the suspect Sen confessed to buying the heroin in Laos and was transporting it to Vinh City for sale when he was arrested.

Earlier, on October 21st, the Vinh City Police also successfully cracked case 016D, catching Ngo Thi Hanh (born in 1983), residing in Block 12, Doi Cung Ward, Vinh City, red-handed while transporting drugs for transaction, seizing 1.1 kg of synthetic methamphetamine.

During an emergency search of Hanh's residence, the investigation team seized an additional 260,000,000 VND and several related items.

To promptly reward and encourage the officers and soldiers involved in solving the case, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police awarded 5 million VND; the leaders of the Vinh City Party Committee awarded 10 million VND to the Vinh City Police.
