Brad Pitt has yet to respond to Angelina Jolie's divorce petition, even though the deadline has passed. Many sources suggest they are considering withdrawing the petition for the sake of their children.

According to TMZ, the court gave Brad Pitt a month to prepare his legal response to Angelina Jolie's divorce petition. However, a month has passed, and he has yet to make any move.

The newspaper claims the 52-year-old actor will not file for divorce because he doesn't want the two to be embroiled in a divorce battle that would negatively impact their children. A close source revealed that Pitt wants shared custody, while Jolie is demanding full custody of their six young children.

If they file a counterclaim, the golden couple of the entertainment industry will enter a legal battle due to an "irreconcilable" conflict. This would be disadvantageous for both of them and would negatively impact the children's mental well-being.

In response, Angelina Jolie's side also accepted Brad Pitt's move because she acknowledged that her top priority was mending the family, not continuing the conflict.

Besides the custody battle, the divorce between the famous couple also has several other important unresolved issues. The Los Angeles Department of Family and Children is continuing its investigation into allegations that Brad Pitt abused his child on a flight on September 14th.

If the investigation concludes before the actor officially responds to the divorce petition, he will be in a much more favorable position than he is now.

Furthermore, according to experts, this divorce could still be settled amicably and quietly without any legal paperwork. In that case, it is highly likely that Brangelina will reach an agreement that satisfies both parties.

In an interview with E!News, lawyer Troy Slaten stated: "Brad Pitt filing for divorce is no longer important. The divorce proceedings are slowing down. His lawyers are certainly negotiating with Angelina's representatives."

"People only respond to divorce petitions when there's a dispute and they want to fight over everything, and Brad Pitt doesn't want that at all," he added.

Meanwhile, an exclusive source for Hollywood Life also revealed that Angelina Jolie is reconsidering her decision to leave the man she loved for the past 12 years, because "she has realized how much she misses him."

"The children keep talking about their dad and asking so many questions, which makes Angelina miss him even more. Angelina is even reconsidering her decision to leave him," the source confirmed.
