Brad Pitt has yet to respond to Angelina Jolie's divorce filing despite the deadline. Many sources say they want to withdraw the request for the sake of their children.

According to TMZ, the court gave Brad Pitt one month to prepare legal documents to respond to Angelina Jolie's divorce petition. However, a month has passed, but he has not made any move.

The newspaper confirmed that the 52-year-old actor will not file for divorce because he does not want the two to fall into a divorce battle that would affect the children's psychology. A close source revealed that Pitt wants to share custody of the children, while Jolie requests full custody of the 6 children.

If they file a countersuit, the golden couple of the entertainment industry will enter a legal battle because of an “irreconcilable” conflict. This is not only disadvantageous for both of them, but also has a negative impact on the children’s psychology.

In response, Angelina Jolie also accepted Brad Pitt's move because she admitted that her biggest priority was to heal the family, not continue to fight.

In addition to the custody dispute, the divorce between the famous couple also has many important knots. The Los Angeles Department of Children and Families is continuing to investigate the case of Brad Pitt abusing his child on a flight on September 14.

If the investigation is concluded before the actor officially responds to the divorce petition, he will be in a much more positive position than he is now.

Besides, according to experts, this divorce can still be settled peacefully in silence without any legal documents. In that case, there is a high possibility that Brangelina will reach an agreement that satisfies both parties.

In an interview with E! News, attorney Troy Slaten said: "The fact that Brad Pitt filed for divorce is no longer important. The progress of the divorce is slowing down. His attorney is definitely negotiating with Angelina's representative."

“People only respond to divorce when there is a dispute and they want to fight for everything, while Brad Pitt does not want that at all,” he added.

Meanwhile, an exclusive source from Hollywood Life also revealed that Angelina Jolie is rethinking her decision to leave the man she has loved for the past 12 years, because "she has realized how much she misses him."

“The kids keep talking about their dad and asking questions, which makes Angelina miss him even more. Angelina is even rethinking her decision to leave him,” the source confirmed.
