The youngest child in a large farming family in Dien Van (Dien Chau), 21-year-old student Pham Manh Phap is currently a Taekwondo athlete in Nghe An province.

When asked why he is passionate about Taekwondo, Phap shared: “Ever since I was young (around 4,5 years old), I was very interested in witnessing martial arts performances, especially Taekwondo by martial artists, and decided to study this martial art. The more I studied, the more I loved it. Therefore, I decided to major in Taekwondo at Vinh University to gain more knowledge and pursue my passion.”

In the first days of contact with this martial art, Phap encountered many difficulties such as weak physical strength, limited skills, stress,... but with the guidance of Mr. Dang Dinh Hung - who is also Phap's coach at tournaments, Phap overcame those difficult stages.
