Cua Lo welcomes 1.6 million visitors in 2016 tourist season

(Baongehan.vn) - On October 28, the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town organized a summary of tourism activities and awarded prizes for press works promoting Cua Lo tourism in 2016.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Council of Cua Lo town, and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

2016 was the year when the economy of the North Central provinces, especially the tourism industry, was greatly affected by the marine environmental incident. However, with the timely and full information, public disclosure of the level of environmental safety of Cua Lo beach to tourists, good management of tourism services, organization of many events such as Tourism Festival, Miss Sea Town contest..., it has attracted a large number of tourists to come and relax. Tourism promotion has received the attention of press agencies, widely propagated on newspapers, central and local radio and television stations, electronic information pages...

Since the beginning of the year, Cua Lo has welcomed 1 million 652 thousand visitors, reaching 62% of the yearly plan, revenue from tourism services reached 1,420 billion VND, attracting many large investment projects to the area.

The special prize was awarded to the Department of Arts and Entertainment - Nghe An Radio and Television Station with the television work "Cua Lo Sea Sings"

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 groups, and the People's Committee of Cua Lo town awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in tourism activities in 2016.

Nghe An Journalists Association in coordination with Cua Lo Town People's Committee summarized, evaluated and awarded 19 excellent press works promoting Cua Lo tourism in 2016.
