The incident occurred on the morning of October 29th, on Ấp Bắc street (Ward 4, Mỹ Tho City, Tiền Giang province). The victim was identified as Dần (commonly known as Bảy Dần - 79 years old).

According to initial information, on the morning of October 29th, people exercising saw Mr. Dan carrying a can of gasoline to the middle of a traffic signpost, then using a chain to tightly lock it around his body and neck, before lighting himself on fire.

People shouted for help and tried to use available fire extinguishing equipment to rescue Mr. Dan, but they were unsuccessful because they couldn't unlock the door.

By the time people managed to put out the fire, the victim had already died. At the scene, the victim's body was charred black, with two fabric rugs placed under their feet.

After examining the scene, the police suspect the person committed suicide by ingesting gasoline. The case is currently under investigation.
