After reading a copy of the Mainichi newspaper, don't throw it away immediately. Tear the newspaper into small pieces and place them in a pot of loose soil, water it a little, and in just a few weeks you will have a pot of flowers, a mini vegetable patch, or small-seeded herbs.

The familiar paper we use every day is made primarily from wood from trees growing in nature, a fact that is certainly no longer unfamiliar to anyone. But if someone told you that paper, when "sown" in the ground, can "grow" back into a tree, would you believe it?

It may sound unbelievable, but it's true: in Japan, a country that constantly surprises the world with its advanced and useful high-tech inventions, one of the most famous newspapers in the land of cherry blossoms, Mainichi Shimbunsha, has invented and put into production a type of newspaper that lasts for a thousand years.

Từ một tờ báo có thể mọc lên hàng trăm cây con.
From a single newspaper, hundreds of saplings can sprout.

This is because this type of paper can be "recycled" in a very special and incredibly creative way. After you finish reading a Mainichi newspaper, don't throw it away immediately. Tear the newspaper into small pieces and place them in a pot of loose soil, then water it a little. Just a few weeks later, you'll be surprised by what the newspaper can become – a flower pot, a mini vegetable patch, or small seedling herbs. What kind of plant will grow from the newspaper is a secret until it grows...

The seeds were placed inside newspapers, and after the newspapers were no longer usable, they were "sown" in the ground to grow into seedlings.

Because of its "unique" capabilities, the issues published by The Mainichi Shimbunsha are known as the "Green Newspaper".

The idea that newspaper can be "reborn" into plants is no longer a novelty, as it has been available on the Japanese market for several years now. Any Japanese person, even children, can easily sow seedlings from newspaper with a few simple steps at home.

Cách làm này của người Nhật thật khiến cả thế giới phải
This approach by the Japanese truly deserves the admiration of the whole world.

The "Green Newspaper" concept was developed by The Mainichi Shimbunsha in collaboration with Dentsu Inc., one of the largest advertising companies in Japan. This is not the first time The Mainichi has introduced such sustainable business solutions.

Previously, this newspaper's commitment to environmental protection was also demonstrated in a humane and effective way through advertising campaigns that sponsored water for people in water-scarce regions.

Ngay cả các em nhỏ cũng có thể trồng được cây xanh theo cách không thể dễ hơn thế này.
Even young children can plant trees in this incredibly easy way.
Just imagine, if billions of newspapers around the world could do this every day... Before long, our Earth would be covered in a magical green hue.

The newspaper's incredibly environmentally friendly initiative has achieved great success after a few years of implementation. Every day, the newspaper publishes over 4 million copies and is available on all newsstands across Japan, contributing to a massive revenue of approximately 80 million Yen, equivalent to over 15 billion VND.

This initiative has also been implemented in many Japanese schools to raise students' awareness of environmental issues and the importance of recycling waste.
