At 10:00 p.m. on October 17, Dien Chau police arrested Nguyen Ha Giang Sang (born 1991) in Hamlet 8, Thua Duc Commune, Cam My District, Dong Nai Province for child trafficking.

Receiving information from the people, through checking the passenger car traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, the working group of Dien Chau district police discovered Nguyen Ha Giang Sang carrying a 4-month-old baby girl with suspicious signs. Dien Chau police took the subject to the headquarters for questioning.

Sang confessed that he was hired by a person to take the child from Ho Chi Minh City to Bac Giang province to hand over to a person in a child trafficking ring. This was the fifth time Sang had taken the children to Bac Giang.

Currently, the baby is being raised by district police officers.

Dien Chau District Police determined that this was a large-scale, complex child trafficking ring and are currently coordinating with Nghe An Provincial Police and the Ministry of Public Security to investigate and clarify the case.
