In their second training match in South Korea, the Vietnamese national team drew 1-1 with Jeonju University (South Korea). Hoang Dinh Tung scored the only goal for Coach Nguyen Huu Thang's team. In this match, the Vietnamese team was fortunate to avoid defeat thanks to a penalty kick.

In the defensive line, while Âu Văn Hoàn's position is not surprising, the appearance of Sầm Ngọc Đức on the left wing is considered quite unusual, as recently, coach Nguyễn Hữu Thắng seems to have placed more trust in Văn Thanh.

In the second half, the Vietnamese team made six substitutions: Cong Vinh replaced Minh Tuan as striker, Thanh Luong and Van Toan replaced Dinh Tung and Phi Son as attacking midfielders, Van Thanh replaced Ngoc Duc as left back, Dinh Dong replaced Au Van Hoan as right back, and goalkeeper Tuan Manh replaced Tuan Linh.

About 10 minutes into the second half, the Vietnamese team had another dangerous shot on goal. Cong Vinh feigned a move to allow Trong Hoang to run forward and shoot the ball just wide of the post.

In the 65th minute, coach Nguyen Huu Thang made another experiment, substituting Hoang Thinh for Thanh Trung. It was Thanh Trung who lost possession, allowing the Jeonju University player to rush forward and score accurately, equalizing the score at 1-1 for the home team.

Even just two minutes before the end of the match, the Vietnamese team nearly conceded a second goal. Thanh Luong fouled an opposing player inside the penalty area, and Jeonju University was awarded a penalty.

However, from the penalty spot, the Jeonju University player failed to beat goalkeeper Tuan Manh, and the Vietnamese team thus secured a 1-1 draw.

On October 28th, the Vietnamese national team will have their final training match in Paju (South Korea) against Pocheon FC, a team currently playing in the lower league of South Korea.
